Semester Reflection

At the beginning of this coarse I thought we were going to fly through the semester super smoothly and not have to worry about too much homework. I also thought that this class was going to be some what boring because I am not really into the whole social media lifestyle.

Right away I expected that we would learn a really easy way to get ahold of our clients through social media. Also, I expected to learn a lot about what type of businesses that would use social media the most. I really expected that we would be learning about how a business could survive with social media being their main way to attract customers.

Something I actually learned was that you can't take a break with social media when you're running a business. Everything has to be full speed and if you're not consistent than you won't look as reliable to your followers. Also, I learned that social media can really boost your company's image by a lot if you are using it right.

throughout the semester I had a few favorite experiences. One would have to be the breast cancer awareness blog post because I know that is very important to the NFL and it is great to see everyone trying to help out. Another Favorite thing would be the finding of HootSuite which made everyone's life so much easier.

No Shave? No Shame!

Ladies and gents can you believe we are already 3 weeks into November? The football season just seems to pass us by. (Pun intended on the word 'pass') This week we want to talk to you guys a little bit about No Shave November. Everyone around the country knows about the No Shave lifestyle during November but not many people know why they do it. Not shaving during November is actually not just to look great with your beard, in fact it is to raise awareness towards prostate cancer. Around the NFL so many players grow out their beards and they look phenomenal! Here are a few players who have the No shave tradition down!

"Catch"y Title

This week we will be doing something a little different for all of you! As you know our Friday Fall Football Sale is going on today from 3 P.M. till 9 P.M. with all of the details in our blog below. So instead of throwing another huge event at you guys we thought we would try something new! Burr Football Camps is going to give you guys our Top 5 catches of this season so far. We hope you enjoy it so here we go.
Number 5!
With a defender draped all over him in the end zone, 5 foot 10 inch Travis Benjamin makes an over the shoulder catch that was tremendous!

Number 4!
Sunday night football! Brand new US Bank Stadium! Vikings vs. Packers! It doesn't get any better than that, right? Wrong! With already a huge night catching the ball wide receiver Stefon Diggs makes a great catch in the end zone to lift the Vikings past their rival Packers in a 17-14 contest.

Number 3!
With the struggles that the Arizona Cardinals offence has been going through you would think they are having a horrible year. But with the help of All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson making one handed interceptions like this the Cardinals are sitting at 3 wins in the tough NFC West.

Number 2!
Jarvis Landry! Wow! Jarvis went to college with the notorious Odel Beckham Jr. who makes more one handed catches than anyone in the league so you know that he can also bring in some spectacular catches.

Number 1!
I don't even know how to explain this catch from Bengals wideout A.J. Green. I'm speechless! 4 defenders all around him, dragging him down! Mr. Green you deserve some kind of reward for this!

Halloween Fun!

First of all I want to thank everyone for coming out to our Touchdowns for Breast Cancer last week. We raised over $7,200 for the race for the cure foundation!

Now, lets get to this weeks event! For the last couple weeks we have been doing events for you and your families so why not keep that trend going? Usually we have our events on Sundays but this week we will be holding our Halloween event on Monday night.

This event is one of our best yet. We will have candy and drinks for the children and snacks with some alcoholic beverages for the adults. Also we will be having a face painting booth, a small corn maze, and some bobbing for apples for anyone that would like to play.

Doors will open at the camp at 4 P.M. sharp. We will also be screening the Monday Night Football game which is the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Chicago Bears if you and your family would like to stay and watch. Go Vikings!

Touchdowns for Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and one of the biggest months in the National Football League. Burr Football Camps is very much involved in the breast cancer community and will be holding an event this week to raise money and donate it all to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation. Everyone has been affected by breast cancer in some way or another and we hope that you will be able to make it out to the Touchdowns for Breast Cancer event.

Touchdowns for Breast Cancer is an event we hold every year in October. For every touchdown scored in the NFL this week we will be donating $100 to the Race for the Cure foundation. We will be screening every NFL game at our camp on Sunday October, 23rd and anyone is welcome to join. We will also be having an auction with all of the proceeds going to the foundation as well. We will be auctioning off some Minnesota Vikings tickets, some specialty cleats, and other amazing football items so don't miss out.

Also with the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers on bye weeks this week we will be having a few special guests visiting us. Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley and quarterback Tony Romo as well as Panthers Tight end Greg Olsen and linebacker Luke Kuechly will all be attending and signing autographs all day long. Make sure you bring family, friends and an appetite.

The Top Dog

We have big news here for all of our football fans and animal lovers! For the rest of the month of October Burr Football Camps will be teaming up with Alex Boddy and his company Boddy Animalscapes to give our customers the deal of a lifetime. Alex will be selling his amazing pet houses and for no extra cost he will customize it to match your favorite football teams color and logo. Not only will you get an awesome pet house but when you do purchase it you will get a 10% coupon to attend any Burr Football Camp you would like.

I know both Alex and myself are very excited about this opportunity and we would love for all of our customers to give this a try. And remember that this deal only extends until the end of October so make sure you take advantage and give your pet the home that they deserve.
